JES to offer programming at Celebrate Erie 2018

We're excited and honored to be offering programming during CelebrateErie this year!

A big thanks to the City of Erie Government for inviting us to participate and to the Erie Art Museum for graciously offering to be the venue for these programs!

Each of these five programs are FREE and open to the public, but we are asking for advanced registrations, which you can make by calling us at 814.459.8000 or by visiting on website here: https://www.jeserie.org/events

FRIDAY:

  • 2 p.m. -- Erie's Maritime Roots: The Inescapable DNA of Our City, presented by local historian and author Dr. David Frew
  • 4 p.m. -- Erie's Colorful, Hard-Knocking Political History from 1851 to Present, presented by Jefferson Publications Coordinator Mr. Pat Cuneo

SATURDAY:

  • 4 p.m. -- Thomas Forster: The Man Who Helped Settle the Erie Frontier, presented by local historian and author Ms. Sabina Freeman

SUNDAY:

  • 2 p.m. -- Made in Erie: The Creations and Products that Made Erie a Success, presented by Jefferson Decadean Scholar Dr. Judy Lynch
  • 4 p.m. -- The Evolution of Downtown Erie: A Story Told Through Pictures, presented by local historian and retired lieutenant Mr. Jerry Skrypzak
