ERIE, Pennsylvania (July 9) – The Jefferson Educational Society, the nonpartisan think tank headquartered in Erie, Pennsylvania, known for its signature fall speaker series, the Global Summit, has added the 44th President of the United States of America Barack Obama to its list of presenters this fall. Former President Obama will kick-off the 2025 Global Summit on Tuesday, Sept. 16, which will be hosted at the Erie Insurance Arena. “An Evening with President Obama” will begin at 6:30 p.m.
“The goal to bring President Obama to Erie is something we have heard many times over the years,” said JES President Dr. Ferki Ferati. “We are honored to be able to welcome the former president to Erie this fall as part of a stellar lineup that include renowned thinkers and doers, researchers and practitioners. He will be part of a world-class line-up of speakers for the 17th Global Summit.”
