Dr. Madonna will examine the factors that mattered in the 2016 elections, focusing on the candidates and the campaigns, with a focus on the factors that helped Trump win nationally and in Pennsylvania. Also, he will examine Trump's first weeks as president and what can be expected over his tenure in the White House.

Dr. Terry Madonna is the Director of the Center for Politics and Public Affairs and Director of the Franklin and Marshall College Poll at Franklin and Marshall College. For more than 30 years, Madonna has taught and written about the American presidency and American political parties and political behavior.  Madonna founded the Keystone Poll in 1992, the oldest survey produced exclusively in Pennsylvania. As a pollster in recent years, he has written extensively about voters and voting behavior. He holds a Ph.D. in political history from the University of Delaware.
