Dr. Robert Longsworth is an Emeritus Professor of English at Oberlin College (Oberlin OH), where he also served as Dean of the Faculty from 1974 to 1984. Having been trained as a medievalist, Dr. Longsworth has published books on The Cornish Ordinalia: Religion and Dramaturgy (Harvard, 1967), The Design of Drama (Pendulum, 1973), and A Decade of Campus Language at Oberlin College (Edwin Mellen, 2003), as well as several essays, articles, and book reviews. A native of Ohio, he received the A.B. degree from Duke University (1958) and the Ph.D. degree from Harvard University (1965).
