Melinda Meyer,

Melinda is a long-time advocate for public history. A native of Oil City, PA, Ms. Meyer moved to Erie in 2000 after completing her studies in History at PSU Erie - The Behrend College.  During her ten years with the Erie County Historical Society, she experienced all aspects of the organization, such as research, exhibit design and installation, collections care, museum education, development and administration.  Her portfolio includes the six-year Ethnic Erie Project, The Journal of Erie Studies and Erie's Heritage Festival.  Ms. Meyer has been an active member of Erie Yesterday (a consortium of Erie County museums and historical organizations) since 2005, and has assisted with grant writing and professional development opportunities.  Ms. Meyer will complete her Masters in Business Administration at Gannon in 2010.
