Joylette Portlock,

Joylette Portlock, Ph.D., received her doctorate in genetics from Stanford University in 2006. Most recently, she worked as a Western Pennsylvania Outreach Coordinator with PennFuture, a statewide environmental advocacy group focused on energy, air, water, mining, and transportation issues. Prior to her work at PennFuture, Dr. Portlock managed the national community of 1100 presenters trained by the Climate Reality Projects, a nonprofit founded to increase public awareness of climate change.
Dr. Portlock currently serves on the Allegheny Country Board of Health, as well as on the board of the Citizens’ Climate Corps, a community-focused nonprofit in Southwestern PA. She is the co-creator of an independent video series on climate targeted to the general public called “Don’t Just Sit There-Do Something!” (dosomethingaboutclimate.com)
