Candace Littell,

Candace Littell is Managing Director of ContentHealth LLC, a policy advisory firm headquartered in Washington DC. She is an executive with nearly 30 years of diverse experience in healthcare financing, policy, strategy and advocacy.  

From 1995 to 2008, Ms. Littell was President of Littell Group, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in strategic planning for medical technology companies.  The company served Fortune 500 firms, as well as start-ups, in assessing market opportunities for new products and strategic ventures, with particular attention to public and private reimbursement issues. 

Prior to establishing Littell Group, Ms. Littell served as Vice President of Payment and Policy for the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed), an organization representing developers of medical devices and diagnostic products, headquartered in Washington DC. In this capacity, she led the association's work on public and private healthcare financing and insurance reform.  

She was also Executive Director of the Health Care Technology Institute, a privately funded organization supporting research relating to the clinical and economic impact of the medical technology industry and its products. She led the development and implementation of the institute’s research program and served as its principal spokesperson among policymakers and the media.  

Prior to joining AdvaMed, Ms. Littell was a Senior Health Policy Analyst for the Congressional advisory group, the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission.  Earlier in her career, she was a management consultant for the public accounting firm Ernst & Young and served as a financial analyst for Virginia-based Sentara health care system.

From 1999 to 2008, Ms. Littell also served as a member of the board of directors of Respironics, a global provider of medical products for the sleep and respiratory markets, and chaired the company’s Corporate Governance Committee.  In 2008, the firm was acquired by Philips Healthcare.  She currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Chautauqua Institution and has previously served on the boards of not-for-profit organizations providing health care for uninsured populations.

Ms. Littell holds an MBA degree in finance and BA degree in resource development.  She resides in Erie Pennsylvania with her husband, Scott Maxwell.
