The Role of Economic Development Agencies in Rebuilding a Community
Economic Development agencies, like the Erie County Redevelopment Authority (ECRDA), play an important role in the revitalization and growth of community. A strong authority offers many tools and opportunities that are not available to the private or even the public sectors to help bridge the gap and challenges necessary to see a project succeed, a brownfield remediated, or new initiative take root. ECRDA Executive Director Tina Mengine will highlight the industrial blight projects ECRDA has undertaken, the partnerships that have resulted in a bank of nearly $50M for business and project lending, and the agencies commitment to equitable and just development.
