The Road to El Paso: A Journey of Serving Refugees at the Border

September 23rd,2019 | 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Professor/Instructor/Speaker: Besty Weist

"The Road to El Paso" will focus on the journey of not only three women who
served refugees at the border in El Paso, Texas but also the stories of the
refugees. Hear first-hand what Deb Seng, Patrice Swick, and Betsy Wiest
experienced while volunteering for Annunciation House – a nonprofit that
helps refugees continue their journey toward legal residency status. They
hope to share this experience in a way that will inspire in others a desire to be
one with their neighbor. We are all on a journey. We all want security, safety
and peace.
