On Nov. 4, 2025, Christina Vogel was elected as the eighth Erie County Executive, winning her first political campaign to go on to serve in her first elected office. Vogel ran on a platform "to put people first and restore trust in county government." Sworn into office Jan. 5, she declared her commitment to "partnership over politics." On April 9, as she will have served just over three months into her first year in office, County Executive Vogel will discuss her campaign in 2025 and her governance in 2026, as well as her vision for the county under her leadership in the months and years to come.

Christina Vogel was elected as the 8th Erie County Executive on November 4, 2025. This was her first political campaign and is her first elected office. Christina is an entrepreneur and small business owner. She is the first and only solo woman franchisee for Donatos Pizza and owns the only two Donatos restaurants in the state of Pennsylvania. Prior to opening Donatos, Christina was a computer programmer and data analyst who developed numerous models and software programs to analyze large amounts of data and make strategic recommendations. While working for the US Army Corps of Engineers, she helped develop a national analysis tool to allocate tax dollars more efficiently to the Department of Defense. Christina earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a minor in Economics from Illinois Wesleyan University, as well as an MBA and a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. More recently, she earned a Chartered Financial Consultant professional designation while working at COUNTRY Financial in Bloomington, IL. In 2020, Christina was appointed to the Erie County Community College as an inaugural board member where she served as Vice Chair, Secretary, and Chair of the Personnel, Advisory and Site Committees. Christina also served on the board of the City of Erie’s Revitalization Loan Fund. Christina lives in Fairview with her husband of over 20 years, Erik, and their three teenagers who all attend Fairview schools.
