Creating Affinity: A Look at How a Fortune 500 Company Fosters Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workforce

Treating others with dignity and respect has been at the heart of ERIE's values for nearly a century, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) has been a formal department at ERIE for more than a decade. The DEI team is dedicated to fostering inclusive and equitable practices in our workplace and in our business. We celebrate and support the unique qualities of employees, agents, and customers through various programs at ERIE. Erie Insurance African American Affinity Network is a part of a larger group of nine employee Affinity Networks that provide a platform for Employees to celebrate, educate, and build acceptance for various dimensions of diversity, including: African American, Asian Pacific, Dignity & Respect, enABLEd (neurodiversity), Generation Connection, Hispanic American, Pride Alliance, Veterans, and Women. In this presentation, Erie Insurance representatives Lyn Twillie-Darby and Regina Gaston will touch on the different Affinity Networks that Erie Insurance has, then dive deep into the African American Affinity Network that they are both very instrumental in.
