Knowing where to start when addressing mental health can be daunting and a challenging task. Many who need help are unsure of what services are available or where to start. Brenton Song, D.O., a psychiatrist at LECOM Behavioral Health, highlights mental health issues and explores how to navigate treatment and care in a rural setting to understand the importance of care in this setting.

LECOM

Brenton J. Song, D.O., MSMed, is double-board certified in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He attended medical school at LECOM at Seton Hill and completed residency training in general psychiatry at Millcreek Community Hospital. During residency, Dr. Song earned a Master of Science in Medical Education degree through LECOM, where he also served as Chief Resident. Following completion of residency, he pursued his fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Millcreek Community Hospital where he again served as Chief Fellow. Dr. Song appreciates the relationships he has established with providers, supports and individuals in the community to best tailor service and treatment to his patients. In his free time, Dr. Song enjoys soccer, Taekwondo, and all things Disney.
