Most people in Northeast Ohio know the term Western Reserve, but how many people really know what it means? Join Chief Curator Eric Rivet for a discussion about the fascinating history of the region from its beginnings in the 17th century and see some of the rarest treasures in the Western Reserve Historical Society's collection: early maps of the Western Reserve.

Eric  Rivet, B.A.

Eric Rivet, B.A., is the Chief Curator of Collections and Exhibits at the Western Reserve Historical Society in Cleveland, Ohio where he manages the curatorial department and the historical society's collection, spread over five historic sites in four counties. Previously he served as curator at The National WWII Museum in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Education Coordinator on the USS SLATER DE766 Destroyer Escort Historical Museum in Albany, New York. Eric Rivet earned a bachelor’s degree in history at Louisiana State University.
