For nearly two decades, the nonprofit Nurturing Hearts has been uplifting girls ages 10 to 18 throughout Erie County, Pennsylvania, equipping them with the tools to build positive self-esteem, make healthy lifestyle choices, develop leadership skills, and resist drugs and alcohol. Through transformative workshops, prevention programs, and counseling services, the Nurturing Hearts team is shaping confident young women ready to thrive. Founder Shawnta' Pulliam Brown, BCDNM, CD, will share the origin story of Nurturing Hearts, its powerful mission, and its ongoing impact in the Erie community since 2006.

Shawnta’ Pulliam-Brown is a published author, a Board-Certified Natural Health Practitioner, Certified Birth Doula, and speaker. She is the founder of Nurturing Hearts, a nonprofit empowering girls ages 10 to 18 in Erie since 2006 through self-esteem programs, leadership development, drug and alcohol prevention, and counseling services. She also owns Sacred Divine Femininity, a natural health and wellness clinic providing holistic care. Featured in The New York Times, The 700 Club, and more, she has uplifted women and youth for over 20 years, believing in healing the mind, body, and spirit through faith and empowerment.
