MCRC provides a variety of educational and employment programs to the Immigrant and Refugee populations in Erie in a customer focused manner. The service needs of the clients are of prime importance. Katie will be discussing the importance of the New American population and what the value they bring to Erie and what our local community can do to support these efforts. In addition, she will share MCRC's plan to be a leading provider in Erie to strengthen relationships and bring a sense of togetherness to our community.

Katie Kretz, B.A., is the Executive Director of MCRC. Katie has been a resident of Erie since 2008. She was brought into the MCRC family in 2021 to help lead the organization into the future and to enhance services for the Latino, Refugee, Immigrant and New American population that MCRC serves. She brings a wealth of non-profit financial, managerial, organizational development and leadership skills to MCRC. Katie is a graduate of Averett University where she studied Business Administration and Equestrian Studies, and served twelve years with local human service agencies, providing services to children and adults with intellectual disabilities and autism. She participated in the Leadership Erie program of 2012 and served on the board of directors with the Dr. Gertrude A. Barber Educational Institute. She is currently serving as a board member for Voices4Autism and is a member of the New American Council with the City of Erie.
