Fairview Satellite: Generative AI & Jellybeans: Sweet Tools, Sticky Questions

August 18th,2025 | 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Professor/Instructor/Speaker: Dr. Leighann Forbes

Generative AI offers some pretty sweet tools—time-saving assistants, creative sparks, and new ways to teach and learn. But like jellybeans, not every flavor is a hit. In this engaging session, Dr. Leighann Forbes, associate dean of the College of Humanities, Education, and Social Science at Gannon University, will demo real-world AI tools, explore how they're changing education and civic life, and ask the sticky questions about bias, privacy, misinformation, and ethics. Whether you're curious or cautious, you'll leave with practical knowledge, helpful resources, and a clearer sense of how to think critically about AI's role in our world. Bring your sweet tooth—and your skepticism.
