Dr. Danielle Hansen, Vice President of Behavioral Health at Millcreek Community Hospital, explores how the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) Behavioral Health is meeting the vast needs of our community through an all-hands on-deck approach to wellness. This presentation will cover the region's largest and most comprehensive behavioral health network consisting of four different entities, 22 different locations, 12,220 individuals impacted by services in the last calendar year, and 794,803 hours of service in the last calendar year. The lecture is the first in a series of offerings by LECOM Behavioral Health experts as they discuss various modalities of treatment and care and their impact on different sectors of our diverse community population.

Danielle Hansen, D.O., M.S. (Med Ed), MHSA, is a specialist in internal medicine and geriatrics with the LECOM Institute for Successful Aging and Medical Associates of Erie. Dr. Hansen is vice president of Acute Care, Behavioral Health and Quality at Millcreek Community Hospital (MCH), medical director for Medical Associates of Erie and a clinical assistant professor of internal medicine at LECOM. She earned her medical degree from LECOM in 2005 and completed her residency and fellowship training in geriatric medicine at MCH. She is board certified by the American College of Osteopathic Internists and possesses a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine. She received her Master of Science degree in Medical Education from LECOM and was among the first graduates to receive the LECOM Master's in Health Services Administration degree.
