Addressing Population Decline in Erie County, Pennsylvania: What Are the Trends, Why It Matters, and What to Do About It

The 2025 cohort of JES Civic Leadership Academy assessed population decline in Erie County, Pennsylvania – assessing trends, exploring why it matters, and proposing clear-eyed actional recommendations of what should be done. During their graduation ceremony, representatives will offer an overview, presenting their findings and key recommendations – after having spent seven months visiting, learning about, and researching various municipalities across Erie County, which ties directly to this project. 

 

The JCLA is funded in part by the Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority's Multi-Municipal Collaboration Grant.
