The Future of Community Colleges: Their Role and Impact in Regions They Serve

Workforce demands will inevitably continue to shift and evolve in a complex global society. What does this mean for the role community colleges will play in the future of
education? What will the landscape of community collegebased education look like for career and transfer education and adult learners? Drawing on his years of experience in
the field, Community College of Allegheny County President Quintin B. Bullock will explore these themes and more, as Erie County considers the future of a
community college in this region.

On March 5, 2014, Dr. Bullock became the ninth President of the Community College of Allegheny County. Before joining CCAC, Dr. Bullock served as President of Schenectady County Community
College in New York, where he developed a five-year strategic plan; established new business, industry, and community partnerships; facilitated the development and implementation of new academic
and career programs that respond to an emerging workforce; and secured more than $12 million in federal, state, and private funding to support and expand college services. He serves on the board for
the American Association for Community Colleges; Vibrant Pittsburgh; Caring Place Foundation; Three Rivers Workforce Investment Board; and Pennsylvania Economic League of Greater Pittsburgh.
