Is there a correlation between the existence and breadth of small businesses
and democracy? How has the rise of big business influenced our democratic
ideal? Is the U.S. belief in healthy big businesses healthy for our democracy?
Are capitalism and democracy synergistic or antithetical? This discussion is
aimed at understanding these relationships as they pertain to the world, the
U.S., and to Erie. – Bruce Kibler, Ph.D.
