Great Books - Imperfect Ideal: Utopian and Dystopian Visions

September 12th,2017 | 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Professor/Instructor/Speaker: Corrine Egan, B.A.

The discussion will center on selections from Imperfect Ideal: Utopian and Dystopian Visions, which illustrate the best and worst of what can happen when we attempt to mold the complex communities in which we live into our vision of a perfect state. All selections in this anthology, short enough to be read in one sitting, challenge readers to question how society should be structured and governed, as well as what kinds of communities are most conducive to human fulfillment, both privately and in the civic arena.
