When it comes to better preparing young people for successful careers, Erie County has emerged as a leader across PA and beyond. Through Erie Together's Erie County Career Pathways Alliance and Career Street programs, employers, educators, and workforce developers are designing and executing high quality, age-appropriate career exploration experiences impacting thousands of students, while highlighting employers and jobs right here in our community. Through this presentation, you will learn about the innovative, data-driven approach to career connected learning being led by this cross-sector collaboration, and you'll also have the opportunity to consider if you'd like to become engaged.

 Mary Bula, M.A. & Jennifer Pontzer, B.A.

Mary Bula, M.A., has led Erie Together, a countywide collective impact movement to make the Erie region a community of opportunity where everyone can learn, work, and thrive, since April 2012. Before joining Erie Together, Mary was vice president of the Growth Partnership Division of the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership (ERCGP). Mary serves on a number of education and youth-related boards and committees. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Allegheny College and a Master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs.



Jennifer Pontzer, B.A., currently serves as director of Career Street and has been with the project since its launch in February 2014. In this role, she has overseen the launch and development by collaborating with local business and industry, as well as local educators. Prior to her involvement with Career Street, Jennifer worked as a constituent service representative for U.S. Congressman Mike Kelly. Jennifer has a B.A. in education from Westminster College. She serves on several boards and committees focused on education and workforce development.
