Following a robust career in environmental conservation, Mr. Schweiger became president and CEO of PennFuture in July 2015 after leading several state and national organizations including the National Wildlife Federation. Mr. Schweiger helped found several national environmental organizations, is a published author, and recipient of an honorary doctorate from Waynesburg University. He received his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Community College of Allegheny County and later studied forestry at Penn State and environmental sciences at Marylhurst University in Oregon.
